Tim Friedman, Founder & CEO

Tim has 15 years of experience in the private equity data and technology space. Before founding PE Stack, Tim was the Chief Commercial Officer at Preqin, a leading source of data and intelligence for the alternative assets industry, where he built and launched numerous industry-leading products and played an integral role in the successful development of the business from fledgling startup to major global enterprise.

​Tim served on the Board of Directors for Baxon, a portfolio monitoring solution acquired by Dynamo in 2019, and currently advises a number of exciting startups in the space. He has advised numerous leading private equity and other strategic buyers on software and data related acquisitions.

​Tim holds a BA in English Literature from King’s College London, and an MBA from Cass Business School (University of London). 

Eren Koç, Advisory Services Manager

Eren has significant experience in the fintech and venture capital industries.

Eren started his career promoting the startup ecosystem in Turkey, working with the country’s leading bank and co-working startup: IsBank’s Workup Accelerator and Kolektif House. Realizing that the biggest obstacle for growth was financing, Eren focused on the fintech space and worked at Colendi, a micro-lending ecosystem that promotes small business growth.

Following his startup experiences, Eren joined StartersHub, an early-stage global venture capital firm, where he was in charge of deal sourcing for the MENA region.

Eren holds a degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Erica Shery, Operations Manager

Erica has over a decade of experience in the financial PR and publishing industries. 

Erica represented the interests of a number of leading international financial and corporate clients during a successful City PR career, including a stint at London-based New Century Media. 

​Erica then moved over to the editorial side, holding a senior role at The Hedge Fund Journal where in addition to contributing content, she oversaw production and played an integral role in the launch of the Hedge Fund Journal awards.

​A native of Southern California, Erica graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in sociology.

Stacey Scolinos, Marketing Manager

Stacey has experience in communications and programming in the government and nonprofit industries.

Prior to joining PE Stack, Stacey promoted the communications initiatives of the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles, working with city leaders and Los Angeles community members passionate about bettering the city. She also spent time working in communications for organizations such as the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the International Visitors Council for Los Angeles.

She is passionate about communications strategy and its power to connect companies and consumers, particularly through social media and digital content initiatives.

Stacey is a Southern California native and received a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Calvin Smith, Consultant

Calvin is beginning his career with PE Stack following his graduation from California State University, Chico. During his time at CSU Chico, Calvin majored in Management Information Systems and had the opportunity to improve his analytical skills through the courses and simulations he participated in.

Some of the skills that he retained include data warehouse configuration, data visualization, and client communication.

Along with his academics, Calvin participated and took initiative in several organizations. He served as the Vice President for Sigma Pi Fraternity and was an active member of the Business Information Systems Society.
